The Birmingham D.A. would like to extend a very warm welcome to all members of the Camping & Caravanning Club for 2010.
Although half-way through the camping year we have had many visitors form other D.A.s camping with us and returning for second visits.
Which proves they must be receiving a real "BRUMMIE WELCOME".
Birmingham is the oldest D.A. in the camping club (although young in outlook).
and this year we celebrate in being established for One Hundred and Three years.
We still enjoy our weekends away and still camp for approximately thirty four weekends every year.
With Social Meets during the Winter months.
All Camping Club members are welcome to join us.
Our Temporary Holiday Site at Harlyn Bay, Cornwall has been running for Fifty Two Years this year, and we still get many
members visiting us
year after year over a period of some Twenty five to Thirty years,
many staying for several weeks, so it is still as popular as ever.
The B.D.A. still sponsor local charities, during the camping season we hold raffles, table top sales,
our main fundraising and childrens weekend at Shelton Farm, Gt Comberton Pershore
over the August Bank Holiday Weekend (August 27th - 31st )
we have our Penny Fayre and Auction to raise money, with plenty of fun and games for all.
This year we are sponsoring
at the end of the season they will send us a "wish list" of
equipment they need and we will supply the cash.
This is all down to the very good support of the
members camping with Birmingham D.A.
